How I can help:

Anxiety

It’s normal to feel anxious, like that feeling you get before you’re about to have a difficult conversation or give a public speech. Even if it's an exciting or positive event, we tend to latch on to the discomfort of anxiety, trying our hardest to get rid of it. In the end, that only makes things worse. I can help you learn how to improve your relationship with anxiety through a number of evidenced-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness.

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder

OCD does not only include obsessions with cleanliness and rituals like hand washing. Obsessions can be about anything and come in the form of intrusive thoughts, images, or sensations. In OCD, these obsessions tend to stick and the sufferer will engage in compulsions to try to get rid of them. When we work together, I will use the gold standard of OCD treatment called Exposure and Response Prevention, or ERP. This approach exposes you to the obsessions you are experiencing and then teaches you how to change your response. Hint: it means not engaging in compulsions. I will show you how to do just that.

Traumatic Stress

You get to define if something was traumatic to you. And many times what was traumatic to you may not be considered traumatic to someone else. Nonetheless, you deserve to heal from the pain. I utilize trauma informed techniques to help you understand how trauma affects the body and mind as well as providing a safe space to process the past.

Other areas I can help with include developing better coping skills, LGBTQIA+ support, managing social media stress, body image work, improving sports performance, and navigating life transitions.
